| We were gonna go for an album, so I needed songs from everywhere, but it had to be songs which I had written, cuz that was the purpose of the album. In a lot of ways I'm very lucky actually that I recorded that song, cuz it was originally meant for another singer, who in the end was making too much fuss about it so I just kept the song. You gotta realize it's a songs about friendship, not a love song, about friends asking for advice, that you give and where they do totally the opposite. Then they keep on coming back for more advice and ask what you would do if it was you. there I say that I won't decide for you cuz you'll do the opposite anyway. Originally it was really a straight forward folk song, but we re-arranged it to a more jazzy, loungy song. |
