QUITE SURE |

Quite sure is a very old song, which was written for a lady jazz singer who lives in Canada now. She did a fine job on it. It's one of the song that I could never sing cuz I don't have the technical ability for it. I could write it, I could play it, but I could never sing it. I decided to put it in this album, cuz I just had to put this personal story down. It's my story about my relationship when I used to live in St. Josse & Zaventem, with my ex-wife, about my first marriage, my first kid... well my only kid, Mr. Kaps. I'm not a person that has regrets, so that's why the song is appropriately titled "Im' not quite sure", there's a bit of ambiguity there. So basically I'm talking about the reminiscence of my relationship. It's a personal song. But then again, people move on, it's documented that Bai went thru this period and I can talk about it now, which is really cool. |

I don't even remember all the text in the song actually. It' was pretty hard time, the breaking up, cuz I just got married and at the same time I just left my parents home. So of course you can not have this shelter that you had from your parents. |
I got a lot of support from them though, my mom especially, and even though things were difficult, she would still help. I just had to go thru this thing... and the best thing that came out of it was Kapri, which leads us to the next song. |
