At the foreword of his record Urban Gipsy, Bai Kamara Jr says: (...) the musical shape, form or direction of this record was unknown, but I knew exactly what result I didn’t want. With the help of the musicians and technicians who contributed to this project we found a direction and a vibe: “cool” was the operative word."
... and "cool" it is: a laid back interpretation of urban city life that wanders thru paths and back doors to get to private intimate places some of us has been before and others get a first introduction to, in a smooth, hassle free way, entranced by tones and vibes of the life of an urban gipsy.

All this in 14 songs, written, performed and produced by Bai Kamara Jr.
Based on his life in Brussels, Bai's typical jazzy urban soul funk compostions, are a guarantee to discover the city life with integrity, awe, amazement, and honesty, via quiet observations in central station, thru crying angels, beautiful loves and hopes for a peaceful change for a world that has gone insane.

Part 7 :(Video) Comments On The Songs.. |
The songs are rock solid and that's why, even though the album has been recorded already a while ago, the music still sounds fresh and contemporary. For the renowned label Bang! Music it was reason enough to release the CD to the public.
The main musicians on the album are
Patrick Dorceon,
Thierry Rombaux,
Frederik Donche &
Eric Moens. |
Substitute is the first single of the album and reached already the play lists of many national radiostations.
In the first month of the release, the album starts entering the charts. |
