Living Room Interview Lyrics & MP3's
The VALVE Vibes
It took one week to record the guitars and in two weeks the recordings were finished.
Still I had time to reflect on my personal playing and singing. Since the album is accoustic and thus all the sounds were "naked" I really got confronted with what I was doing. Sometimes I really was amazed hearing me play so bad.
So it even changed me into a different way of playing: more open, subtle and more harpegio.
Also, since I'm playing no lead guitar,
normally I just lay out the groove and Eric just balances it out and flies over it with a lead. On this record though, Eric couldn't be present on two tracks, so I played the lead myself, which was a very interesting experience.
Normally I have idea's and tell those to the one that translates it to a guitar solo, but now I had to do it myself. It was hard, but it worked.
So I'm very pleased with the result... but pleased in a humble way: It's a new start!
