The VALVE Vibes
Initially, the record was gonna be called The State I'm In, which is simple and to the point: the portrayal of where I'm at in life and what I'm doing right now.
So since I've been playing all these accoustic songs and gigs, for the past two years, I thought it was good to do an album that's coherent with what I'm doing right now.
But then I was reading this book of Robert Wright, called Non Zero - The Logic of Human Destiny, where I found the title "Intrinsic Equilibrium" and the idea that no men or society has develloped without outside influence.
So this fitted the concept even better, since I am where I am now because of the oppertunity I got from weighing different influences, given by people that I admire in my immediate surroundings. Also, at the risk of being pretentious, I can say that I'm a balanced person. I'm happy with what I got and got a steady mind.
Looking at the album this way, it's a confrontation with myself as an artist, to see if I can be honest. It's revealing actually.
So the record ended up being pretty "naked" and intimate.
